New York Fashion Week finally arrived. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week runs February 12 - February 19, presenting Fall/Winter 2015. Rumor has it, this is the last year New York Fashion Week will be sponsored by Mercedes-Benz.
On the runway, plaid is back and popular on overcoats, pants and tops. Several models were walking down the runway with turtlenecks, some of those were even jackets. We all know that color-blocking has been a popular trend, especially in the summer. Color-clashing is also seen quite a bit this year and welcomed on the runway. Solid monochromatic tones are also just as popular as ever. Some Fashion Designers that stand out to me so far are Carmen Marc Valvo, Alexander Wang, Todd Snyder, Zac Posen and August Getty. Yet to walk the runway this week are Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger and several others.
Unfortunately, most guests that get to attend are involved in high-fashion or other media professions. Others may have connections, be buyers or just be extremely rich. Luckily, all the rest of us fashionistas have access to see those live shows online. Already aired podcasts of designers are also available. Keep in mind that not every designer will be posted on the site; however, there are quite a bit that are. Make sure you check it out especially if you have favorite fashion designers that you want to see
